About Helsby FC: A Historic Community Club

Helsby FC is a well-established grassroots football club. We sit right at the heart of our local community. Our club boasts a rich history dating back to 1895. We share strong historical links with the village’s former cable-making factory. This heritage makes us one of the most respected clubs in the region.

Our World-Class Facilities

We train and play our matches at the Helsby Community Sports Club. This state-of-the-art facility opened in April 2021. It provides a professional environment for players of all levels. The multi-sports complex is the perfect home for our growing roster of teams. It ensures our players have access to the best pitches and equipment in Cheshire.

A Pathway for Every Player

As a dedicated Helsby FC Community Club, we offer football for all ages and abilities. We believe in nurturing talent from a young age and providing a clear path to senior football.

• Mini Kickers: We offer specialized coaching for 4-6 year olds. This initiative focuses on fun, basics, and a love for the game.

• Junior & Youth Teams: Our junior squads start at Under 7s. They compete in the Chester and District Junior Football League.

• Elite Youth Football: Our Youth Team plays in the Junior Premier League. They regularly compete against academy sides from across the non-league pyramid.

• Girls’ Football: We have a thriving girls’ section. Our teams compete in the Cheshire Girls Football League (Wirral).

Senior Football Excellence

Our men’s section is highly competitive. We currently run two senior teams: the Firsts and the Reserves. Both squads play in the West Cheshire A.F. League. This league sits at Step 7 of the National League System. We regularly face tough competition from across Wirral, Chester, Halton, and Merseyside. We are always looking for ambitious players to help us push for promotion.
