Helsby FC is thrilled to announce the launch of our first senior (Open age) Women’s team, and we’re on the lookout for a passionate and ambitious First Team Head Coach to join our dynamic management team.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth and success of our women’s team, with home matches held at the Helsby Community & Sports Centre.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek a dedicated coach with a UEFA B Licence, though we also welcome applications from UEFA C Licence holders who demonstrate a strong understanding of player and team development. Our commitment includes two training sessions per week and matches on Sundays.
Please Note: This is a voluntary position. However, we provide Helsby FC kit, cover necessary expenses, and offer ongoing support with CPD and training. The appointment is subject to enhanced DBS checks, and a full UK driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop, deliver, and review the coaching and games programme in line with our team’s principles and objectives.
Matchday Leadership: Lead warm-up and cool-down routines.
Player Development: Focus on individual and team growth through player reviews, analysis tools, and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
Talent Recruitment: Work with the Director of Women’s Football to identify and recruit players.
Team Collaboration: Attend and contribute to management meetings.
Pathway Monitoring: Oversee the transition of players through the player pathway.
Compliance: Adhere to FA safeguarding, equality policies, and club codes of conduct.
Representation: Represent Helsby FC professionally in the media and at public events.
Qualifications/Experience:
UEFA B Licence (UEFA A Licence desirable)
FA Introduction to First Aid in Football certificate
FA Safeguarding Children certificate
Full UK driving licence (essential)
