Originally founded as Helsby Town, Helsby FC stands as one of the oldest amateur football clubs in Cheshire. For over 130 years, we have been a cornerstone of the local community.
Today, we foster a love for the beautiful game across all ages—from our West Cheshire A.F. League Men’s Firsts and Reserves to our thriving youth, junior, and girls’ teams. We are now looking for target-driven leaders to help us write the next chapter of our history.
1. Director of Football
We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee the footballing identity of the club. You will bridge the gap between the boardroom and the pitch.
Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Transfers: Identify talent, manage scouting, and oversee player contracts to enhance first-team performance.

Tactical Philosophy: Collaborate with coaching staff to ensure a consistent playing style across all club levels.

Strategic Planning: Develop medium and long-term goals for sustainable on-pitch success.

Coaching Support: Handle administrative/strategic tasks so the Head Coach can focus on match preparation.
Requirements:

UEFA B Licence (Essential).

Proven experience in player recruitment and tactical strategy.

Strong networking, negotiation, and communication skills.
2. Marketing Director
We need a creative visionary to elevate the Helsby FC brand and deepen our connection with fans and partners.
Key Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy: Develop and execute marketing plans to enhance club visibility.

Digital Presence: Manage social media channels and drive promotional campaigns.

Community Engagement: Build lasting relationships with local businesses and supporters.
Requirements:

Professional experience in marketing (sports industry experience preferred).
